What is going to happen to the Lions next?

The Detroit Lions have been a below average for quite a while. The only respite was in the late 1980's with the entertainment value of watching Barry Sanders and his special running style.

The much anticipated arrival of Matt Millen in 2001 as General Manger/President/CEO has not seemed to help the situation at all as spectators have become frustrated and have been displaying hundreds of "Fire Millen" signs at every game. Early in the 2008-9 season, he was fired.

The drafts have been a disaster, and many first round picks are no longer in the league. Jon Kitna, while a capable backup (at best) has been tasked to lead this group of ever-changing players behind one of the worst offensive lines in the league and things never seem to get better. A good defense, some players who can create a pass rush and a decent QB may be able to get this team to an 8-8  or a 9-7 mark, since their Division isn't as tough as others.

What should the fans do? BOYCOTT THE GAMES? Would that even help? As long as the games sell out, why spend more to get better players? -----------What is the solution?
